The Application of Optitex for Academic

The use of it is now increasingly broad in varied industries, such as the automotive industry, health, and even the furniture industry. Not limited to that, this software has been used in the academic world, both national and international.

In Indonesia alone, there are several universities that have used Optitex as a means of their learning activities. First, there is a Ciputra University in Surabaya. They use the software in one of their majors, FPD (Fashion Product Design & Business). Second, there is the Indonesian Art Institute of Denpasar Bali which uses Optitex in its fashion design study program. This software is also used at STTT Bandung majoring in garment production and at Maranatha University majoring in Fine Arts and Design. 

For example, the University of Ciputra has held several fashion shows whose clothes are designed using Optitex 3D. Those clothes designs can be visualized in real and what is made in the software is almost the same as the original product.

Optitex software used for academic fields is called the Optitex School Version. The Optitex School Version has a module specifically for academic users, so the module is not the same as the ordinary Optitex used for manufacturing.

Overseas, several famous universities such as Cornell University New York, George Brown College Canada, University of Delaware USA, and the National Institute of Fashion Technology India have also used Optitex as a means of learning their fashion design.
