Background

Wijaya Promosindo Oetomo (WPO) is an established promotional products manufacturer based in Jakarta, Indonesia, specializing in garment and printing fabrications such as custom t-shirts, shirts, banners, hats, tote bags, and clocks. Operating with a vertically integrated business model, WPO focuses on delivering consistent quality, competitive pricing, and fast turnaround times. The company emphasizes long-term partnerships, transparent communication, and continuous improvement to meet customer demands for cost-efficient yet high-standard products.

Original Production System

Manual Cutting Setup:
– Manual matching, cutting, and bundling process
– Sublimated camouflage fabric (TNI t-shirt orders)
– ~30 operators involved (matching, cutting, bundling)
– 1 laser cutting machine
– 2 operators assigned to the laser machine Limited cutting capacity, creating bottlenecks against high-volume orders

Production Challenge:
– High-volume TNI t-shirt orders with complex camo patterns (sublimation fabric)
– Manual process could not keep up with demand
– Insufficient cutting equipment leading to production delays and heavy manpower dependency

Solution

– Laser cutting machines with camera and conveyor system implementation
– Continuous cutting flow enabled through conveyor integration
– Pattern recognition optimized using red outline marking for faster camera detection
– Gradual machine investment: total 8 laser cutting machines (3 + 2 + 3 phased installation)

Both pattern and outline are printed directly on fabric using sublime machine.
